【摘要】:Inthemanufactureofporcelainenameledware,sheetsteelissubjectedtoformingoperationsandsubsequentlytofiringoftheenamelattemperatures,typically,of1400to1550x00B0;F(760to844x00B0;C).Somesteelsusedforporcelainenamelingaresubjecttograingrowthincriticallystrainedareasresultinginlossofstrength.Thismayleadtoeasydeformationofthesteelanddamagetotheporcelainenamelcoating.Thistestmethodmaybecorrelatedwithtransitoruseteststoevaluatethesuitabilityofsteelforporcelainenameledware.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationoftheyieldstrengthofsteelspecimensaftersimulatedformingandenamelfiringoperations.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
