【摘要】:TestMethodD6774,fordeterminingmaximumtotalcontraction,crimp,andresidualfibershrinkageintexturedfilamentyarnsissuitableforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,usethesamplesforsuchacomparativeteststhatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtestingandrandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Thetestresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,aprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Thepropertiesandtheirvariabilityasmeasuredbythismethodrelatetobulkappearance,stretchandrecoveryoffabricsanddyeabilityofyarns.Forsomeyarns,elapsedtimebetweenprocessingandtestinghasamarkedeffectontheresults,ofthistest,especiallyduringthefirst72h.Theeffectiscausedbystressdecaywhichisknowntobeminimalbeyondtheseventhdayandafterwhichtimetheyarnremainsrelativelystable.Therefore,specimensshouldonlybecomparediftestedafterthesameelapsedtime.Samplescanbetestedat-line,thushavinglittletonoelapsedtimebetweenprocessingandtesting.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofcrimpcontraction,residualfibershrinkageandtheirvariabilityofalltypesoffilamentyarns(partiallyorientedyarn(POY),fullyorientedyarn(FOY),flatyarns,texturedandbulkedcontinuousfilament(BCF)carpetyarns)usinganautomatedtester.Note18212;Foranothermethodoftestingcrimpintexturedyarns,refertoTestMethodD4031.1.1.1Thismethodmayalsobeusedfornon-texturedyarns.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtocrimped,multi-filamentyarnsrangingfrom22.0to890dtex(15to800denier)andforBCFyarnsfrom890to4200dtex(800to3800denier).1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorUScustomaryunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theU.S.customaryunitsareinparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththemethod.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
