【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversductileironcastingsthataresubsequentlyheattreatedbyanaustemperingprocessasdefinedin.1.2Theapplicationoftheaustemperingheattreatmentextendstherangeofpropertiesachievableinductileironcastings.1.3Noprecisequantitativerelationshipcanbestatedbetweenthepropertiesoftheironinvariouslocationsofthesamecastingorbetweenthepropertiesofcastingsandthoseofatestspecimencastfromthesameiron(see).However,austemperingheattreatmentwilltendtodiminishanydifferencesinmechanicalproperties.1.4Theproductionofcastings,machining(ifrequired),andtheaustemperingheattreatmentsmaybeperformedbydifferentmanufacturers,ascoveredinSection.Thepurchasershouldestablishbycontractagreement,atthetimeofordering,theresponsibilityofthevariouspartiesformeetingthespecificationrequirements.1.5Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets[].Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
