【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverscold-formedweldedandseamlesshigh-strength,low-alloyround,square,rectangular,orspecialshapedstructuraltubingforwelded,riveted,orboltedconstructionofbridgesandbuildingsandforgeneralstructuralpurposeswherehighstrengthandenhancedatmosphericcorrosionresistancearerequired(Note0).Theatmosphericcorrosionresistanceofthissteelinmostenvironmentsissubstantiallybetterthancarbonsteelwithorwithoutcopperaddition().Whenproperlyexposedtotheatmosphere,thissteelcanbeusedbare(unpainted)formanyapplications.Whenthissteelisusedinweldedconstruction,theweldingprocedureshallbesuitableforthesteelandtheintendedservice.1.2Thistubingisproducedinweldedsizeswithamaximumperipheryof64in.[1626mm]andamaximumwallof0.625in.[15.9mm],andinseamlesswithamaximumperipheryof32in.[813mm]andamaximumwallof0.500in.[12.7mm].Tubinghavingotherdimensionsmaybefurnishedprovidedsuchtubingcomplieswithallotherrequirementsofthisspecification.1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemistobeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Note0Productsmanufacturedtothisspecificationmaynotbesuitableforthoseapplicationswherelowtemperaturenotchtoughnesspropertiesmaybeimportant,suchasdynamicallyloadedelementsinweldedstructures,etc.Note2FormethodsofestimatingtheatmosphericcorrosionresistanceoflowalloysteelsseeGuideG101oractualdata.
